Fukurōdani Academy (Japanese: 梟谷学園Fukurōdani Gakuen) is a high school in Tokyo. The Boys' Volleyball Team is currently a top four team in Tokyo and the ace of the team,Bokuto, is one of the top five aces in the nation, just barely missing the top three. Additionally, the volleyball team has gone to Nationals each of the last three years, coinciding with the ace's attending years. At the Spring High Nationals (2013), they finished as runners up and lost toIchibayashi High.
Fukurodani's most notable players are Bokuto, the captain and one of the Top 5 Aces in the nation, and Akaashi, the team's setter and vice-captain.
Fukurōdani's team is also a member of the Fukurōdani Academy Group, which is composed of teams from the Kanto Region. For years, the schools have been holding summer training camps and practice matches with one another.
The school's official representative is an owl, coinciding with Bokuto's appearance and name.
CORE TEAM
1. Kōtarō Bokuto
Kōtarō Bokuto (Japanese: 木兎光太郎Bokuto Kōtarō) was a third-year student at Fukurōdani Academy and the volleyball team's ace and captain. He was acknowledged as one of the top five aces in the country, barely missing the top three. After high school, he became an outside hitter for the MSBY Black Jackals, a Division 1 team in Japan's V-League. He is also a member of the Japan National Volleyball Team. Bokuto has round, golden-colored eyes and spiky white-grey hair with black streaks; certain sections of it are done up as if to vaguely conform to that of an animal, strongly amplifying the uncanny resemblance he bears to a horned owl. He has a solid and muscular build. However, his physical appearance in the anime is considerably thinner, less athletic, and muscular compared to the manga version. This is mostly corrected in the later seasons. Unlike most volleyball players, Bokuto wears knee pads that go up to his thighs, instead of simply ending above his knee.
2. Keiji Akaashi

Keiji Akaashi (Japanese: 赤葦京治Akaashi Keiji) was a second year at Fukurōdani Academy, and he was the volleyball team's vice-captain and setter. As of November 2018, he is currently working as an editor in a shonen manga magazine from a major publisher, although he actually wanted to be in the literature department. Akaashi has messy black hair and gunmetal blue eyes with thin pupils and slightly thick eyebrows; in some official art, his eyes appear to be green, but in others, they are more blue-colored. He tends to wear an emotionless or slightly exasperated expression a great majority of the time but is shown to smile occasionally given the circumstance.
He makes his debut at the beginning of the Tokyo summer training camp wearing a navy T-shirt with a light aqua sports bib on top, the number 5 printed in black, altogether with a pair of white shorts. His shoes are white with yellow details, and he doesn't appear to be wearing kneepads during practice.
When dressed in his school uniform, he wears a light grey blazer and black trousers, held up by a black belt. His shirt is neatly tucked into the waistband, and his blue tie is knotted neatly.
3. Tatsuki Washio
Tatsuki Washio (Japanese: 鷲尾辰生Washio Tatsuki) was a third year middle blocker at Fukurōdani Academy. Post high school, he becomes a middle blocker for the EJP Raijin, a professional volleyball team in Division 1 of Japan's V. League. Washio is tall and has an overall intimidating appearance with pushed-back dark hair, thin eyebrows, and a straight nose.
4. Akinori Konoha
Akinori Konoha (Japanese: 木葉秋紀Konoha Akinori) is a Pharmaceutical Company Employee in Tokyo and is an outside hitter for the Ehrgeiz Pharma Volleyball Club
Prior to that he was a third year wing spiker from Fukurōdani Academy. Konoha stands at 178.8 cm. making him the third shortest in his team. He has neat, medium-length dirty-blonde hair, with narrow eyes and an average build. His eyes are often depicted as nearly the same color as his hair in some art works.
5. Haruki Komi
Haruki Komi (Japanese: 小見春樹Komi Haruki) is an actor in Tokyo. Prior to that, he was a third year libero fromFukurōdani Academy. Komi is small in stature. Karasuno High ( Japanese : 烏野 からすの 高校 こうこう Karasuno Kōkō ) is a high school located in Miyagi Prefecture . The school's Boys' Volleyball Club was founded many years ago and has often been associated with crows due to the school's name. Its banner, in fact, reads "Fly" which alludes to crows. It was said that Coach Ukai had a ferocious pack of crows during Karasuno's glory days. As a former powerhouse of Miyagi, Karasuno has represented the prefecture at the Spring High nationals nine times. One of those occasions was under the guidance of Coach Ukai and Tenma Udai , also known as the "Small Giant" ("Little Giant" in the anime), and was famous throughout Miyagi. However, after the initial success, Karasuno failed to pass its prefecture's preliminaries in future tournaments and therefore received the derogatory nicknames "The Fallen Champions" and "The Flightless Crows." It wasn't until five years late...
Metropolitan Nekoma High ( Japanese : 都立 とりつ 音駒 ねこま 高校 こうこう Toritsu Nekoma Kōkō ) , or Nekoma High for short, is a high school in Nerima Ward of Tokyo in Japan. Due to the players' flexibility and solid receives and digs, the Boys' Volleyball Club team is nicknamed "The Cats," which is also an allusion to the school name. Nekoma and Karasuno are said to be "destined rivals" because of the longtime competition between their respective coaches, Nekomata and Ukai . Since the two teams' animal representatives (cats for Nekoma and crows for Karasuno) are animals that are usually found at the dumpster, the matches between the two teams are often called "Battle at the Garbage Dump" or "Trashcan Showdown" in the anime english dubbing. So far, Karasuno has never won against Nekoma in their practice matches. However, the teams have not played against each other for a noted while until recently during the current time ...
