Inarizaki High (Japanese: 稲荷崎高校Inarizaki Kōkō) is a high school in the Hyōgo Prefecture. The boy's volleyball team is a long-time powerhouse that has attended Nationals for three years consecutively, and 31 times overall. They are the runners-up of the last Interhigh and the current 2nd seed. They defeated a nationally ranked top 3 spikerWakatsu Kiryūand his team in the semifinals before taking a set from eventual championsItachiyama. The year prior, Inarizaki finished in third place in both the Interhigh and Spring High tournaments. They are known for their skilled list of players, such as the Miya Brothers, and the top 2 scorers for Inarizaki,Rintarō SunaandAran Ojirowho is said to be one of the top five aces in the nation. The team has garnered a reputation as the "strongest challengers" for their unconventional play style and tendency to take risks. The team's motto is "We don't need (things like) memories" to signify not being held down by past accomplishments and always taking on new challenges.
It has been mentioned that the volleyball team is extremely popular, with the Miya twins attracting many fans. Inarizaki matches are usually accompanied by their large orchestra and cheer squad, who have developed a technique to distract their opponents with rhythm and sound.

Shinsuke Kita (Japanese: 北信介Kita Shinsuke) was previously a third-year wing spiker and the captain of Inarizaki High. As of 2018, he is a rice farmer in Hyogo.Kita is of average height with an athletic build. He has dull brown eyes and thin eyebrows. His hair is short and light gray with black tips at the ends. His fringe is parted in the middle of his forehead, with one clump of hair hanging down in the middle just above his eyes. His typical attire consists of either his school uniform or practice clothes.

Atsumu Miya (Japanese: 宮侑Miya Atsumu) was a second-year student at Inarizaki High and the starting setter for the school's volleyball team. He was known as Japan's best high school setter, as well as its best server, and was invited to the All-Japan Youth Intensive Training Camp. As of 2018, he is a member of MSBY Black Jackal, a professional volleyball team in Division 1 of Japan's V.League. He is also a member of the Japan National Volleyball Team, and he participated in the 2021 Olympics. He is the twin brother of Osamu Miya.
Atsumu has golden yellow hair. Unlike his twin brother, Osamu, his hair is flipped to the right side and dyed blonde. His undercut and eyebrows are dark brown , an indication of his original hair color. His eyes are large, hooded, and slightly drooping. He can usually be seen wearing a smile or smirk on his face.

Osamu Miya (Japanese: 宮治Miya Osamu) was previously a second-year wing spiker at Inarizaki High and the twin brother of Atsumu Miya. As of 2018, he is the owner of his onigiri shop, "Onigiri Miya." He has a large build and is very similar in appearance to his brother, which shows that they are most likely identical twins. Osamu's hair is dyed gray and his fringe is flipped to his left side.
Rintarō Suna (Japanese: 角名倫太郎Suna Rintarō) was a second-year student at Inarizaki High School and one of the volleyball team's middle blockers. Post high school, he becomes a middle blocker for the EJP Raijin, a professional volleyball team in Division 1 of Japan's V. League. He is also a member of the Japan Men's National Volleyball Team. Suna has dark brown, slightly-combed down hair, with few strands sticking out at the top of his head and middle-parted bangs. He has grayish-yellow narrow eyes and thin eyebrows. He is often seen wearing a blank expression.
5. Aran Ojiro

Aran Ojiro (Japanese: 尾白 アランOjiro Aran) was a third-year student at Inarizaki High School and one of the volleyball team's wing spikers. He was one of the top aces in Japan, and filled that role in his team. Much like Kōtarō Bokuto, he was just outside of being in the country's top 3. It has been noted that if he were even in reasonably good condition, he would probably make the cut.
As of November 2018, he is an outside hitter for the Tachibana Red Falcons, a professional volleyball team in Division 1 of Japan's V-League. He is also a member of Japan's National Volleyball Team, and participated in the 2021 Olympics.
Aran has a dark-brown clean-cut and thick eyebrows. He's fairly tall and has a muscular, athletic build. His eyes are almond shaped and have fox like pupils; In the manga, his eyes are colored gold/brown and in the anime they're a grey-ish green.
6. Michinari Akagi
Michinari Akagi (Japanese: 赤木路成Akagi Michinari) was a third year libero of Inarizaki High School. As of 2021, he is a high school PE teacher in Hyogo. He appears to have dark, spiky hair, some of it swept to one side, and has large eyes with small pupils. He is of an athletic and strong build, and is a fairly tall libero.
Karasuno High ( Japanese : 烏野 からすの 高校 こうこう Karasuno Kōkō ) is a high school located in Miyagi Prefecture . The school's Boys' Volleyball Club was founded many years ago and has often been associated with crows due to the school's name. Its banner, in fact, reads "Fly" which alludes to crows. It was said that Coach Ukai had a ferocious pack of crows during Karasuno's glory days. As a former powerhouse of Miyagi, Karasuno has represented the prefecture at the Spring High nationals nine times. One of those occasions was under the guidance of Coach Ukai and Tenma Udai , also known as the "Small Giant" ("Little Giant" in the anime), and was famous throughout Miyagi. Metropolitan Nekoma High ( Japanese : 都立 とりつ 音駒 ねこま 高校 こうこう Toritsu Nekoma Kōkō ) , or Nekoma High for short, is a high school in Nerima Ward of Tokyo in Japan. Due to the players' flexibility and solid receives and digs, the Boys' Volleyball Club team is nicknamed "The Cats," which is also an allusion to the school name. Nekoma and Karasuno are said to be "destined rivals" because of the longtime competition between their respective coaches, Nekomata and Ukai . The Boys' Volleyball Team is currently a top four team in Tokyo and the ace of the team, Bokuto , is one of the top five aces in the nation, just barely missing the top three. Additionally, the volleyball team has gone to Nationals each of the last three years, coinciding with the ace's attending years.
